    Kmymoney and Plasma 6

Folks after upgrade to Plasma 6 and a few days later updates for fixing the KMM to load, now I found out that KMM is missing the "Reports" in its main menu listing. This item used to be between the Investment and Budget in menu listings which has disappeared. Has any one noticed this? I found this out today while trying to generate a needed report.

You probably really wanna look at the flatpak/snap/appimage as a temp solution , maybe. KMM hasn't ported their stuff to kf6 yet, and probably will take ages to do so.

    Oops:

    and

Not even sure if the Kchart stuff is even available \

it looks like the package is missing the build option to support reports - apparently is is an optional item, so a normal build would not include this?? seems odd, considering you have the option before (there has been no new KMM release) - maybe neon devs had to manually add it previously, and it somehow went missing.

It seems that this KMM 5.1.3 is a built by Neon developers. There is really no official KMM 5.3.1 version released yet by the KMM developers. The latest official version is 5.1.2, which we used to have before the upgrade to Plasma 6. So, Neon has to fix this issue as well as they did the initial glitch we experienced with Plasma 6 upgrade. Lets hope hope that they will fix it soon.

A distro package applications themselves, not the application's developers in most cases.. KMM doesn't do this themselves, and definitely not for each and every distro - the Flatpak or Snap would be what they would make, or suggest, though their website is as outdated as their builds
The Flatpak is very very ancient. The snap is current, and made by a KDE person.
The appimage instructions are.....terrible, as well as completely outdated, and would be my go-to suggestion, since these would be built on KDE's servers. Why they don't offer a release version......well, they are a slow moving, very volunteer, and very small team

        No, 5.1.3 is from 2022
Version 5.1.2 is the latest version provided by Ubuntu 22.04.

But, what actually happened is there was a rebuild, which seems to have fixed the major bug I reported: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481974
Which may or may not be relevant, I can't tell if this has any effect on the missing reports module, the edited dep list doesn't seem to be relevant to this at first glance.

OK, I did find a link to a working appimage from KMM's stuff on KDE's build machines:
This is the landing page for the file for reference so you can verify if my link is good, and not some strange mysterious website

        The direct file link is:

        https://invent.kde.org/office/kmymon...e_type=archive

Extract the contents and look for an appimage file in one of the subfolders

Thank you! I am up set because this all happening during our tax season. Since I have all my financial data in my KMM I was trying to use the "Reports" and generate some totals for my tax return. That is the whole idea that we use this software for and when it comes the due time to use the outcome, its messed up.
