this is the Neon thread ,,,,Kubuntu dose not get as many updates as "some"versions of Neon ,,,,,witch is why I asked ,,,"what version" ,,,the Neon-LTS will not get as many updates as say the /dev versions ,,,,,where you will get 100's at a time ,,,,some times .

Indeed! I am going to my granson's wedding this afternoon and yesterday my wife got my old suit out of storage. Getting the clasp connected was, to say the least, difficult. And, it emphasizes my budding pot-belly. I've been retired for nine years and the last time I wore a suit was at my daughter's wedding, sixteen years ago. That was also the last time I wore a tie. In fashion? That's another question, but everybody excuses old farts as being eccentric.

I have the /dev edition, which is why I get so many updates at times. It was an experiment to use that version, as I'm not a developer. I wasn't really worried, just surprised as it's the highest amount of updates I've ever got at one time. I'll be travelling for five weeks soon, and I dread to see what surprises the updater has for me when I return!

witch /dev edition /stable or unstabel

I use the stable and even though it hase huge amounts of updates at times ,,it is ,,,mostly stable ,,,,,/unstabel on the other hand ,,,,,well YMMV

I have the stable version of developer's version, and it really is stable, despite all the tinkering--or maybe because of it. It's a hybrid Neon, with Kubuntu as the core, not Ubuntu. It works, so I'm happy.

The Neon User Edition is so stable on my hardware that they could name it "Gibraltar".
