[SOLVED] Make icons for certain apps always visible on panel

I would like the Kmail and Ktorrent icons to be always visible in the panel when they are running.

At present Kmail is only visible if there are notifications, and it is hidden inside the menu (little upward arrow thing) otherwise.

I find clicking on the icons to be a convenient way to open them. Does anyone know how to set per-app settings for the behaviour in the panel?

Kmail should have a setting for the systray icon visibility somewhere. I usually set it to always show. Not sure if there is also an entry for it in the tray's settings or not. I'm afk but I did set it to always show some time ago and it still does so.

Not sure about ktorrent as I use qbittorrent but I'll bet it does.

I'll look when I get home if someone doesn't beat me to it.

You need to go into the systray's settings - right-click on the arrow to the right side of it - go to System Tray Settings >> Entries and set "Kontact" to "shown" instead of "auto"
Probably the same will hold for Ktorrent as well.
