Extreme Tux Racer stopped

This may have been because I installed a couple of flight sim games or it may have been an update. I removed them but no change.

Armagetron runs and a solitaire game runs.

Either way I tried to play it tonight, it worked maybe a week and a half ago and I get:

a) a sound "baaliip" musical
b) the ETR orange circle with fish appears for an instant in the panel and disappears

CURIOUSLY....

Spectacle appears for a fleeting moment not the full Spectacle screen but a small box which says; Spectacle.

So question is for anybody running KDENeon or Kubutu Neon hybrid,

does anyone have ETR installed and it is running?

Just got around to reading this. Yes, I have ETR installed on my Kubuntu/Neon hybrid and it works fine. I'm still in Practice mode, however, as I'm not very good at using the arrow keys in game fashion.

No, it does not work in KDE Neon as of this date and it does work in Kubuntu LTS.

Right, it is there the "system says it can run" but it doesn't run.

A small box NOW appears, it did not appear before that says "extreme tux racer" and then disappears, a small similar "thingy" appears in the lower panel - there is a "blmp" noise and nothing.
