I have been able to get my wireless card (Broadcom) working on my HP Pavilion notebook using information in the following site - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WiFiHowto.

I hope this helps someone else who is having trouble setting up their wireless card.

I got mine broadcom card working with just one little problem:

it always reports signal strength to be 100% ?!

has this been fixed for ndiswrapper 1.4?

if not, I'll have to use linuxant's driverloader, which solves that problem (P.S: I know it's illegal, but does anyone know a webiste where I can download a serial/crack for it?)

I had trouble with ndiswrapper until I upgraded to the latest. No trouble at all.
