Being the Kubuntu forum, shouldn't it be a pyqt and eric3 tutorial, maybe even pykde? :P

So what you are saying is Ubuntu should stick to their appications and Kubuntu to theirs?

You do realize I was kidding, right?

I did the tut BTW, the gtk bindings are a bit easier to extend the gui 'after the event' than qt, what is the GL support like, or are we talking about threading and a glut window?

I am a Windows man converting to Linux and have started to learn how to program under Linux which to me is a learning curve to say the least.

I find it a lot easier under Windows but the educational experiment under Linux is fun

I wrote the guide to try to help other in a similar situation to me and hope to write more as I progress.
