HOW TO: Add an application to a panel

When you right-click on a panel, unlike with gnome, your only option is to add a widget not an application. After much poking around and searching on the Internet, I could find no solutions to this problem.

Finally, I tried dragging an icon out of the launcher menu and dropping it on the panel. It worked!

If there's another way to do this, I'd be interested in knowing how.

Re: HOW TO: Add an application to a panel

If you are running kde4.x (Kubuntu 81.0 / 9.04) you can unlock widgets then right click on any app in Kickoff (Klauncher) and choose add to panel.

    From Lancelot you just drag/drop.

I can't remember how to do this in kde3.x. Too long ago

Plasma is one of the key technologies of KDE 4 (also known as the "Pillars of KDE"), and one of the most visible to users. As Plasma treats the user interface differently than a traditional desktop, there may be confusion as to what Plasma is, what it does, and how to perform common tasks.

This document attempts to address these problems by providing answers to the most common questions...
