I had a problem with KDE for many years, i am Greek user and i am experiencing problems with changing keyboard layouts, especially all this years i was used to Windows Alt+SHift combination. I was fustrated discovering that within KDE I could not assign this behaviour to Keyboard Layout switching, since it required a 3 key combination.
After folding around my files, I was able to discover a method for assigning a 2 key combination to Keyboard Layout switching.
To make this happen i opened:
And I edited the line:
Logout from your KDE session and then relogin, everything should be working properly and your keyboard layout now changes with the use of Alt+Shift_L (Left Shift).
