    Control-Click fails in File Manager

This bug is also listed here http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122107

But I wanted to bring it here because it may be kubuntu-only.

I have installed Kubuntu 6.10(32bit) using Alternate CD on two machines with different hardware, and both have this problem.

Using detailed list view (possibly other views) in File Manager (Konqueror), it is impossible to select multiple files using ctrl-click unless you click directly on the filenames. Control-clicking to the right of the filenames acts as a simple click, deselecting the others.

    It's always worked that way.

Well, I just moved from SUSE and it never worked that way in SUSE 9.3 through 10.0, with KDE 3.x. You can select a file by clicking to the right of the filename, so it only makes sense that you would be able to select a file by control-clicking to the right of the filename. It is inconsistent.
