    Hi,
    why there is not a boot.log in Kubuntu/Ubuntu?
    There is a way to have it?

      mmm... I don't have /etc/var/log even /etc/var usually all logs are under /var/log but boot.log does not exist; alternative it is possible to use
      dmesg | more
      but it is not the boot.log intended as boot screen loading
      anyway u/kubuntu does not create boot.log (as suse do for example)... why?

          if I enable bootlogd
          sudo kate /etc/default/bootlogd
          BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=No
          to
          BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=Yes
          at the next reboot Xorg starts but as soon as I type password swith off. Weird!
