    Playing wave files in KDE

I am trying to play some .wav files I created using Cubase SX in windows, in KDE apps: amarok and kaffeine, with no success!

What is going on here? I remember an old KDE bug with the wave parser due to sloppy coding, hope it didn't return.

I am using dapper. I just installed it from DVD.

You may have something. I've noticed that some (perhaps 20%) of my wav files do not play properly in either Xmms or Amarok. They wind up truncated or not played at all. However, when played with Kmplayer or Kaffeine (unlike your experience), they work properly. This anomalous behavior did not occur in Breezy. Do you know exactly what the problem was before (and when it was fixed)?
