    USB Devices

Am having strange behavior with my USB drives.

    128 MB Disk Pen
    256 MB Disk Pen/MP3 Player
    Smart Media Card Reader

All of the above react as described below

Plug in and konquer launches and get an error:

An error occurred while loading media:/sda1:
The file or folder media:/sda1 does not exist.

Under the media folder it appears as usbdisk and i can access it.

    20 GB Harddrive
Plug in and konquer launches and get an error:

An error occurred while loading media:/sda1:
The file or folder media:/sda1 does not exist.

Under the media folder it appears as sda1 and i can access it.

If I click on the System Menu Icon and choose storage media, non of the above devices appear.

    Thanks for your help

Not quite the same. See they claim that they dont mount. Mine actually do mount, with errors messages, and the do show up as usbdisk or sda1 in the media directory.

Actually, if you follow the link that's in the bug report:

        http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=74541

I did mention that the thing mounts and appears in the /media directory. It just doesn't appear on the desktop and cannot be graphically unmounted (only via command line).
