    adept issue

When ever i try to run System Update Wizard (aka adept update) it prompts me for a pasword, i put in the password and it then returns a message that it needs to run as root.

I have also tried to preface the command with kdesu with no luck.

    Any thoughts?

Does this do it all the time, or does it do it right after running the sudo command in the terminal? Also have you tried to log out and then back on again.
I noticed that Adept will not load on mine if I just ran a command with "sudo" until I log out and back in again or the timer expires on the sudo command.
    Cheers,
    Joey

Ok, the install that i first posted about was an install on VMWare 5.0. When I installed on an IBM laptop (not on vmware) this issue did not occur.
