    Loosing file devices

    Hi,

I have updated my kubuntu hoary to breezy, whenever I try to boot with the new kernel (2.6.12-9), I loose some devices, so I must go to /dev and do a MAKEDEV generic, MAKEDEV video, MAKEDEV audio and mknod sda1 b 8 1 to be able to enter X and use it normally.

I have no problem with the hoary kernel (2.6.10-5)

Fore some reason the upgrade keeps on installing me all xorg drivers, is this the default now?

    Thanks

I don't know about your missing devices in /dev, but for update, breezy is in testing phase, updates are coming daily, you don't have to update daily unless you facing any problem. I think updating once in a week is ok.
    cheers!
