Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.12-9-386 won't find my mouse

Got this kernel from apt, booted it today.

But it doesn't find my mouse. I have a Logitech MX500, connected via usb.

It works fine with the Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.12-8-386, but not with this new one.

2.6.12-9 is a bit stuffed for me too - "vga=" doesn't work correctly any more, but did with previous kernels. I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it myself, file a bug report then wait til the next iteration of the kernel.

        Cheers,
        Craig

They had the same problem on the Ubuntu releace. It is in fact a udev problem. Also, if you're almost a beginner, I'd reccomend staying away from beta releaces, seeing as they aren't stable nor are they a good way to learn the OS. Learn the OS, then beta test
