sound in KDE but not games imac g4

I installed kubuntu in a power-pc imac g4 but dont get any sound with games. Nevertheless, the sound works in kde desktop.

Have you enabled full duplex in KControl Center (the old debian control center name) or the System Settings center? This will allow kde to provide sound for more than one util at a time, in the event it seems to not provide sound for games but does for kde sounds, or vice versa.......
