    nsplugin viewer keeps crashing

    Hi.

I am running 5.1 from a fresh install, and now have kde3.5 installed.

nspluginviewer keeps crashing on my system. On the original install, and with kde3.5.

    Anybody else get this?

Any ideas why it does this? Or what I can do to fix it?

    thanks,
    -john

I'm fresh on 5.1 with some 3.5 upgrade loving myself.  How do you launch the plugin viewer? It works fine under the configure section in konqueror.  If I launch it from a terminal it just sits there (but doesn't crash).

I'm not launching it all. I just open some webpages, and then get a whole bunch of those KDE crash dialogs.

John, the only thing I would suggest is:

        1. Make sure you have all the plugins installed.  I got flashplayer, realplayer, and acroreader installed.

        2. settings > plugins
...and set the path to where you have those plugins installed (which work for FF or mozilla), and put that entry in that list.

For me, that's /opt/firefox/plugins (see image below).

        3. Click the plugins > scan for new plugins
...and see if they show up in the plugin list (see image below).

Have you done all that yet?

argh, something weird with this vbulletin setup.  It didn't post my images.  Anyways, I'll use imageshack instead.  Here they are...
