The lastest version of Krita, v2.8.3 cannot be obtained.

The lastest version of Krita, v2.8.3, should be obtained, when its executed the usual terminal comands to get Krita.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install krita
sudo apt-get install kritasketch (otherwise you won't have the sketch brush in 2.8.0)

If I execute these lines, I'm still getting v2.8.1. Please, upgrade the packages, if you can.

Sorry, this is a user forum. You might try contacting the Kubuntu developers. As far as I can see, there are no Krita packages in the backports PPA for 14.04.

As of May 30 (today), Calligra 2.8.2 is in the Kubuntu Updates PPA. I'd expect 2.8.3 to arrive soon.

Talk about timing. Last I checked it was still 2.8.1 - like yesterday morning!
