Kickoff "Add to desktop" when using Folder View in KDE4.

    Hi

Apologies if answered elsewhere and trivial I know......

When using kickoff I can unlock the widgets and send an application icon to either the panel or desktop. Panel is fine, but because I am using my desktop in "folder view" when I select "add to desktop" it invariable goes to the desktop rather than the folder view: That is to say, it is there on the screen but I cannot include it with all the other icons on the desktop.

I know I could right click and add a link to the application, but it's aesthetics really as I don't have the custom icon for the application in question.

Other than reverting to a straightforward desktop view and adding everything from scratch (is there any benefit either way?) is there any way I can do what I want to achieve?

    Thanks

    ian

Yes it does, thanks so much!

Sometimes the most obvious solutions are the hardest to find.

That's just the kind of thing we "smart" people overlook because it's too simple
