No this had been a thing in all Ubuntu release forever.
For those who are not following the LTS upgrade path would normally see the prompt to upgrade to 24.10. Which very recently became EOL.
But your LTS one is broken, and quite confused.
It wants to upgrade you to a release that doesn't exist any longer in the normal archive (so it would error out), but is showing the correct time left before 24.04 reaches EOL.
Is your Software Sources set to non-LTS upgrade notifications?
But I think you are probably seeing a bug in the upgrade notifier. I think I've seen this reported in past LTS right after the next non LTS release had become EOL, and they had to fix something.
The KDE Daemon is just the KDE system Kubuntu is using to display the notification.
25.04 would not have this sort of problem as it only has one upgrade path.

Ok, it is not a bug (yet) as 24.10 hasn't had its archive mothballed just yet so the notification is completely accurate, when set to Normal releases.
But if you want to be on the LTS track, then change it to the desired option, and you won't see the notification until 26.04 upgrade notifications are enabled by Ubuntu, circa October 2026.
