When did the kmix widget get this update?

I really like this. This is one of the things that I thought was difficult in Linux when I started (my speakers were really quiet by default), and it just got a nice GUI option.

    MOAR VOLUME!

PS pulse audio volume control has always had the ability to push the volume over 100% ,,,,,,,,so dose VLC , and veromix.

Click the kmix volume widget, then click the spanner, then the general tab gets you that view.

I know it was possible before (one of the first things Steve helped me with at ubuntuforums.org, which is actually how I found out about KFN!) but it was a struggle as a noob.

Having a GUI option is nice!

Who knows, it may have been there for ages... I don't check for options like this very often!

I have implemented an option to enable the boosted volumes for Pulseaudio. As there is currently no way to indicate that it is an volume overdrive, this is an expert option that I will not put in the GUI. To enable it, use:

kwriteconfig -file kmixrc -group Global -key VolumeOverdrive -type bool true

The behavior will be active after the next KMix restart.

I have added an option "Volume Overdrive" in KMix for KDE4.13. This is part of the configuration dialog overhaul,..

              Q&A

              What is Volume Feedback?
              The KMix Handbook tells:
              Configure general KMix parameters.

              Behavior → Volume Feedback
Check this box to enable audible feedback on volume change.
              On line: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdemul.../Settings.html

If the package kmix is installed: KMix > Help > KMix Handbook (F1)

                Rog, you're like an encyclopedia!

I might alias the man command to save you some time, e.g. rog nano
