    Have you been "Scroogled"?

I read an interesting article about Microsoft's latest compain to get people away from using Gmail.

, Microsoft released its newest anti-Google campaign on Wednesday, accusing the site of violating its users' email privacy.
The Gmail practice ensures that when someone exchanges emails with a friend about a low-budget zombie movie they are planning to make, ads for The Walking Dead, survivalist gear and film production jobs might appear in their Gmail sidebar.
"Outlook.com believes your privacy is not for sale," Stefan Weitz, senior director of Online Services at Microsoft, said in a statement. "We believe people should have choice and control over their private email messages, whether they are sharing banking information or pictures of their family or discussing their medical history."
"Outlook.com only scans the contents of your email to help protect you and display, categorize, and sort your mail appropriately. Just like the postal service sorts and scans mail and packages for dangerous explosives and biohazards, Outlook.com scans your mail to help prevent spam, gray mail, phishing scams, viruses, malware, and other dangers and annoyances."

I am prepared to believe MS mail keeps our information closer to it's chest than Google does but as your link clearly shows this does not mean MS as a whole is not sharing your info from other sources.

It realy pisses me off so many keep their address book with Google, Yahoo, MS or worst with Facebook, the fact I am in several of these address books is no doubt being exploited in ways I would not volunteer. There is a purpose I keep my mail exclusively with my own provider that operates under Dutch privacy law.

At least Facebook has an option for non-subscribers to not be bothered by their mails.
I wish they had an option I could have my address deleted from all these address books IDIOTS have uploaded
