    We are the 99%!

(Sadly, I tend to agree with you.)
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

Is that a statistically provable assertion? I'm not really sure. I do know that only half the people are dumber than average, but I often find this difficult to believe

Half the people are dumber than (or equal to) the median. It's quite easy for 99% of a group to be below average. I'm sure you know this

Anyway, "stupid" doesn't necessarily mean below average or median.

I suspect that this is not a very important conversation.

Pure empirical analysis...and I think I was rather lenient with it :P

I do know that only half the people are dumber than average.
Like SecretCode mentioned, that isn't necessarily the case...example:
In a Dalmatian Owners Association conference, there are 99 people that own one dalmatian and 1 person that owns 101 dalmatians. On average the attendees own 2 dalmatians (200 dalmatians, 100 owners), but 99% of them have less than that.

EDIT: Someone (namely me) probably saw an iceberg, the thread is making a hard portside steer

I just had something confirmed about Google.

I kept getting this "nag" about providing another e-mail address in case I forgot my password, and other fol de rol.

Wellllll I finally provided a throwaway yahoo addy a short while ago and SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE....as Jim Nabors used to say....

Google now wants to import my addys from the yahoo account....so I can just not even use that yahoo account again....

Of course, I am sure that Yahoo is going to try the same thing because it is now yammering for another addy...just for me to be safe and all..
