Yep! The start button! Actually use that on all my installs. It really goes nicely with dark themes which I use mostly. One reason I made it.

That startup button is the bomb! Really should be an entire kubuntu plasma theme built around that logo.

Hehe, actually that's only a couple of clicks away from out of the box. Anyway, does anybody ever see their desktop? I rarely see any of mine since they are completely covered in layers of windows...
That's the best part in my opinion! KDE is naturally a beautiful desktop and I love showing it off anytime my friends or cousin come over. I like to show them the 'desktop switch' (Not sure what it's formally called) and they usually ask what "That" is, and its always nice to say, "Yeah *Sniff* I'm running Kubuntu Linux."

I rarely see any of mine since they are completely covered in layers of windows. The one you see is number 10 which I keep clean in case I need it for sorting something using the GUI - it's like the spare bedroom. Then I may also be odd in that I never turn my computer off and rarely close any terminals or applications once they are opened.

Yes indeed, Linux is great for customizing. Mostly though Linux is great for multitasking. Judging by the way I've seen MS-Windows people work, (minimizing and closing apps etc) I don't think Windows can really multitask properly or they wouldn't need to to that. I'm no expert though, I only run Linux - and I only run it my way.
