    Tested the plasma-wallpaper-dreamdesktop package, runs smoothly, the video capture make it stutter however.

    Not a desktop screenshot per se but a recording of a splash screen made using Ksplash Theme Generator. It's a really neat tool. It looks at whatever desktop background and icon set you are using and makes a KDE style splash screen which you can find in your Appearance Settings. I tinkered around, changing the icons it uses for the animation. I'm using the Caledonia KDM but I wanted a different splash animation.

    I down loaded the picture from somewhere. The screenshot is 2560x1024 - dual 19" monitors.

    I'm not much of a GIMP artist, but it's fun to see my lovely wife's face on my desktop

    I've kept it simple lately. On this one, I changed the ad poster on the left wall to a picture taken of me and my wife during our wedding and changed the station name to Paris - where we spent part of our honeymoon...
