    Watch out for NVidia's viral marketing campain

    I've just stumbled on this article claiming that NVidia is investing in NVidia hires actors to post favorable comments about their hardware in multiple internet forums.

    Hmm.... Keep a look out for those internet fanboys.

      It turns out that, if you follow the entire link chain, it's not as sensational as it appears. No 30 inch flat panels for anonymously inserting PR flack on Gamer websites. But the truth, (non-anonymous experts get top of the line Nvidia products for "objective" reviews, in their own words) is actually close to or maybe, over the line. How honest would you be if you knew that a negative review might result in you not getting the next beyond-the-state-of-the-art, Nvidia gadget for free? At the very least, the "experts" in question should reveal that they got the gadget they're reviewing for free from the manufacturer, with no obligation to return it after the review.
