    Distroguide

    Hi guys,

Couple of my friends and me has started a new distroguide project. The Distro Guide is a community project that pools information about different distributions of linux, whether it be for the novice user, system administrator, or server admin.

If anyone who want to contribute can pm me or create an account there.

    thnx

Is there something wrong with DistroWatch?

It doesn't tell you how to install the specified distro! Plus, it'ss good good to have more than one of something, hence why there's many search engines, many types of ice cream. It's all about preference at the end of the day.

Btw: this took me ten minutes to think up, but I had to think of something!

Well, it's good to have more than one flavor of ice cream because the flavors are actually different.

The only difference I see is that it will have installation guides. Otherwise, it's replicating a lot of work that's been put into DistroWatch, and DistroWatch, unlike the distros it keeps track of, is not GPL'ed, so you can't just take DistroWatch's base work and start modifying it and redistributing it.
