[Desktop] Problem updating using Kubuntu Backports PPA

    Hello:

I'm using Kubuntu 25.04, and when I activate the Kubuntu Backports PPA, I get this error message when I try to update the files included in that PPA from Discover:

Dependency resolution failed: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libkpmcore13: Rompe: libkpmcore12 but 24.12.3-0ubuntu1 is to be installed

How can I fix this? Thanks.

I know I could update the system using apt full-upgrade, but I don't know if that would break the system.

Upgrading this package worked ok here on a unmodified 25.04 install in a VM.

Try opening Konsole and typing this:

    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install libkpmcore13

    Post what output you get.

Discover doesn't often handle error messages or warnings well. It will usually just quit. In this case, it probably didn't want to remove the existing package to prevent breaking the system.
