    Installing ARTA software

From absolute importance for me is installing software from ARTA, especially the spectrum analyzer part.
For that purpose I have installed the Wine software to get the ARTA exefile executable in linux.
Until now I did not succeed so I need help from this forum to get the job done.
    1. First I downloaded the ARTA exe file and made it executable
    2. And installed wine
    3. Then I tried to run the .exe file and got this error comment
    4. So I installed steam

As a result I am still getting this error comment and I am certainly doing something wrong or misinterpret something, but what?

linux does not run windows software.

wine is one way to try and make an .exe file run under linux but it requires a lot of skill and patience and there is no guarantee.

a slightly easier option is use bottles (flatpak) to make a "pc" container that will run windows programs if is is set up correctly.

my suggestion is that if you really need this windows software, then you should dual boot and run it under windows.

my better suggestion would be to find a linux replacement for whatever this software does and learn how to use that instead, your time would be better spent.

How did you try to run it?
