Sometimes when loading Firefox or a fork of the same I get an error message in the tool bar saying that my bookmarks could not be loaded. This has happened on a snap Firefox. a flatpak Floorp and an appimage Waterfox. The message states that another program might be using the bookmarks, but that seems unlikely to me. What could be this mysterious program? In any case, once I reload the browser, the bookmarks toolbar reappears and everything is OK. So it's not a major problem. What is happening here? Is this a known bug?

I suspect that sometimes you've got firefox processes running in the background that you're not aware of. I suggest running the system monitor to show processes in tree view to see them.Regards, John Little
