I’m on Kubuntu 24.04 and even though in the kgpg settings I have the checkbox unchecked for “Start kgpg automatically at login” and I also don’t have it setup to autostart in my system settings, it still opens at startup everytime I login. Is there a way to change this?

You could blacklist the app, but an old trick to try when a program is "stuck" in the saved desktop session is to temporarily tun off saved sessions, and log out and back in once or twice. If it *is*n stuck, then the blacklist might not work.
The info *may* be kept in ~./config/ksmserverrc but I am not sure is mucking without this file has any negative effects.

Great advice except you really don't have to reboot, just logging out and back in is normally sufficient.Originally posted by skyfishgoo View Postdesktop session... start with an empty session
reboot.
you can change back to restoring your previous session any time after that.
Just FYI
