Hi,
I've previously used kbunttu and I wanted to install 24.04 LTS Kbuntu on a laptop with win10 freshly reset.
I download a 4.2GB iso put it on a UAB device and ran memtest86+ , all looks good.
I chose Install Kubuntu option and I pops up with errors right off the bat.
No network available
No partition for installation.
I cannot do anything with installer at this point. I tried change partitions but nothing responds. It seems this error condition blocks it totally.
Why do I need live network connection when I downloaded a 4.2 GB iso
?
There must be all I need on there to do a full installation.
What is this madness? I may as well just use Windows if I want that kind of service.
I don't want I spying on me , calling back home, logging my activity before I even get as far as installing a basic system and configuring it.
What is this about?
Is there any way to install kubuntu or do I need to look for a different Linux distro.
TIA.
