    Multimedia codecs?

On Kubuntu 22.04 the installer had a check box for "third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware and additional media formats". On 24.04 there isn't one. Does it now install all the multimedia codecs by default or do I have to do it manually after installing?

Check if you've got kubuntu-restricted-addons and kubuntu-restricted-extras installed.

the haruna media player come preinstalled and has all the codecs, you can install VLC on top if you really want to make sure.
