    No internet

I love Kubuntu but I am getting really frustrated. My PC automatically went to sleep and upon wake the network connection will not work.

I have both windows and Kubuntu installed and windows does not have any issues.

It was working fine before going to sleep. It says it's connected but with limited connectivity.

I'd really like to keep using Kubuntu as my main distro but this is obviously a deal breaker and I've been tinkering with it for hours. I have tried to plug and unplug the network cable and have tried a shutdown and restart.

    Thank you

    No direct help, sorry.

Does connectivity return if you disconnect (via the system tray network entry), wait a while, say 10 seconds, and reconnect? I mention this as you may be able to script a workaround.

Does another, vanilla, user have the same problem?

I should also note this is the 24.04.1 LTS version

          Did you resolve the issue?

This is one of the reasons why I have disabled the sleep power setting because everything with all the drivers has to work perfectly to restore the session precisely where it was before. It's a brittle system that few developers want to tackle. So I just disable it.

            Built-in network device or USB?

Hard to offer advice with zero hardware details.

              what does
              Code:
              swap on
              say?

are you having any issues with anything else after returning from sleep?
