    Firmware bug on startup

I had an issue with my Jammy laptop not too long ago. The GUI wasn't responding in certain aspects and the laptop had been left idle for a few weeks. I thought maybe some packages needed to be installed and something was out of date. When I restarted, I got the atached error message. I thought maybe the "ACPI" reference might have something to do with the HDMI. I don't know why, but I was just guessing. Any ideas?

I re-installed Jammy, and the Kernel boots, so it appears to be working properly. But, I'm still getting this message on start up, and I have not seen this previously.

I hope this is posted in the correct subforum.

Brilliant, thanks oshunluvr. Shamefully, no I did not. I will make that a habit from now on. Thanks again.

There's some on reddit too. Seems possibly a BIOS update may fix it. You might check with your laptop or main board vendor support
