    Discover Filled Up /usr

I can't do any more updates because my /usr partition is now full. I'd love to resize its virtual disk in VirtualBox but can't figure out how to do that, either.

Unless you created a specific partition for /usr, which is not a common thing to do, it is all part of your / (root) partition.
How big a virtual drive do you have? What is your partition layout, if you did a custom install layout?

You probably just need to uninstall some software, for starters.
There are command line tools to help do some cleanup as well

I recommend skipping step 4, the wrong settings in that app can be a bit too aggressive, and remove too many important things.

As to enlarging a virtual drive, it requires two major steps, basically

In the above, you can use the Kubuntu installer ISO instead of GParted, and run Partition Manager from that to grow the partition to fit the new disk size.

oshunluvr I know-ish what to do, but being a lazy sod who types pooorly, I find and vette some better, reasonably up to date instructions, rather than type it all out and create all the screenshots.
I haven't used Virtualbox in ages, so that adds even more work.
Working...
