Grub Packages kept back by apt

    Hi!,
I recently upgraded my system to Jammy and for the most part things went well. The only thing was that Plasma didn't work initially and I had to reinstall plasma-desktop after the first boot, before I was able to start KDE.
    Anyway, no big deal.
But now I noticed something odd (unrelated to Plasma): when I run apt, I always get this:

The following packages have been kept back:
    grub-common grub-pc grub-pc-bin grub2-common
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
Synaptic shows this, too, and refuses to upgrade these packages.
I guess this means that there is some dependency that still requires this version?
My current version is 2.06-2ubuntu7, while the new one is 2.06-2ubuntu7.1.

Any ideas what this means or if this is a major problem?
    Thanks,
    Chopstick

Nothing wrong. This is due to phased packaging releases.

Thanks! I had no idea about phased updates, but now I know!

For anyone else wondering, I found this article quite enlightening: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1431...buntu-use-them
