Move Kubuntu to new disk SOLVED

I'm sure this is dealt with thoroughly - but all my searches lead to something else, so can anyone help me/or direct me to the right place?

I have a dual-boot WIN10-Kubuntu PC where the WIN10 (first) part is on an SSD and the Kubuntu on a partition of an old-fashioned (big) mechanical disk (second disk).

Recently I cloned the WIN part to a bigger SSD, leaving me with an SSD I may use as a faster Kubuntu main disk.

I assume I may just clone the Kubuntu partition to this old SSD, remove the Kubuntu partition, and attach the old SSD containing the cloned Kubuntu to an available SATA port as third disk.

But how do I make Grub find it? I assume it will not find it?

Is this UEFI? If so, what ESPs are present?

I'm sorry - I have just a very vague idea of what UEFI is, and no idea about ESP (in this context).

The PC is based on an ASUS P6T SE motherboard, does that help?

After more searching I found several rescue options for Linux. Tried a couple; Rescatux did what I needed.

Just used a windows clone program to copy my Kubuntu disk to the new one, deleted the old partition, used Rescatux to find it, and that's it.

Kubuntu from a SSD is muich more fun than from an old fashioned disk!
