[SOLVED] Am I missing fonts or something?

    Hello

I got some weird output when trying to install Sublime Text:

    hN3hY muYqf'S:3
    fm,Sublime HQ Pty Ltd <support@sublimetext.com>4Y

I'm not allowed to post images on the forum yet so I copied a snippet. Hopefully you see what I see. If not, it's a bunch of black diamonds with question marks in the middle, interspersed among regular characters.

I assume I'm missing fonts or characters or something like that. Wat do?

    Many thanks in advance.

Not knowing how you attempted to install it (you didn't tell us), maybe this will be helpful: https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php...-ubuntu-22-04/
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

I tried to install via apt repository. I had installed sublime on Mint and MXLinux before, the same way, and never got that output so I assumed it was probably something on my end. It seams, from reading the article you linked, that they changed the install method to make the gpg key deliberately unreadable.

Thank you for the link. It was very helpful indeed.

        Did it resolve your issue?

Yes, I did install Sublime. The only issue was my not understanding that the output I got was actually normal. The article clarified that.

Forgot to mark it as [Solved].
