    S/PDIF output

Just rebuilt my everyday computer. Asus prime H-670-Plus D4, I7 12700, connected to Startech KVM with high speed USB and ISDN. Installed Kubuntu 22.04.2. I connected S/PDIF ports to the motherboard header. Connected S/PDIF to my DAC with Toslink.
In setup I set it to the digital output, that is the S/PDIF.
The computer keeps switching to ISDN output. My monitor does not have sound. I have to keep switching it back to S/PDIF every time I want sound.
How do I keep it outputting to S/PDIF?

    Try turning this off (un-checking)

It's in System Settings > Audio > Configure (lower right corner)
