[SOLVED] KUBUNTU 20.04.1 and AMULE 2.3.2 not connecting to networks

    Dear all good evening,
it's Vitto here from Italy, I've just joined the forum to ask for your help.

Amule is not in the repository of Kubuntu 20.04
so I've followed few guides hoping to find a solution.
    (eg: https://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?t=639679)

I always end up with amule not able to connect to any of the server.

I even tried to compile from source, same problem.

I tried to use old server list, no luck.
I removed ~/.aMule/ to download fresh server list, no luck.

Any idea, suggestion or at least amule alternative?

log from amule log window within the program

Dear oshunluvr thanks for your reply,
Yes ... this is the procedure which seems most used as workaround.
And it is the last one I've tried.
I also tried to clean/remove any leftover file which could conflict and restart the install process from scratch.
      Still no luck :-(

        Dear all,
thanks to yesterday's storm the router rebooted and the problem disappeared!
The timeout connection was therefore due to a firewall problem.

        Thanks anyway,
wish you all a nice week!
