There is such a program that will back up every day?

As GreyGeek suggests, using Btrfs as the file system, and Timeshift as a snapshotting GUI program, you can set up regular, automatic snapshots of the file systems for very quick and easy rollbacks.
This, plus file-based backups to a different drive or location do help you cya pretty well.

The problem is that things have to be pretty push button for me to understand it.
I get the GUI part, but don't know what timeshift or Btrfs is.
I'm what would call a "user" in the parlance of Tron, not a programmer.
I have to spend a fair amount of time reading and searching just to get new basics down.
I just like to use Kubuntu.
