I installed 20.04 on Jan 4th, 2020 and checking the Muon history I noted that ubuntu-drivers-common was installed on that day. It was updated on Feb 2nd and that is the last entry.
As for as your "Should I be worried/concerned about the issue with libkpimsmtp5abi1_19.12.3-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb " error, I and another person got the same error while doing the standard update procedure. I solved it for myself by rolling back to the snapshot pair that I made before I ran the update. I am going to wait until I see a msg coming down the pike which announces the error and the patch that fixes it.

You said you were "fully updated"... Did that include the approximately 236 packages that came down the pipe today?
For the first time since I installed 20.04 in January I am getting an installation error that I cannot resolve using the usual commands. The full-upgrade command fails with an "unable to overwrite ***" and ends with a "code(1)". Rolling back to the snapshot pair taken before the executing the update allowed me to restore my stable system. I'll wait until I get word that the problem was fixed in a future update.
As far as you're not seeing the the panel that allows you to edit sources in Muon I had a similar problem with 18.04 last year, and as a work-around running the command in the Konsole without the "attach" parameter allowed access. A short while later an upgrade fixed the problem, and a few weeks after that I switched to 20.04.Leave a comment:

That's a bunch of somewhat important stuff being removed there, probably a mangled dependency on something. Not unusual in pre-releases, though, especially back in January.. I will bet that whatever it was has since been fixed as you didn't note any problems installing the missing package. ubuntu-drivers-common probably should not be a requirement for Muon, but it should be for either the separate program software-properties-kde (which IS a dep of Muon, iirc),. or some other lower level meta-package, like kubuntu-desktop or something like that. Is yours a standard or minimal install? I would think that both the driver manager (kubuntu-driver-manager and its required ubuntu-drivers-common) would be installed by default (as it has been for ages), unless there was an error installing the -common package that was not noticed somehow? Found the cause. With the output of running software-properties-kde in a konsole and noting this: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'UbuntuDrivers' I searched for ubuntu-drivers in Muon Package Manager which found ubuntu-drivers-common that was not installed. I installed it from a konsole: sudo apt install ubuntu-drivers-common and after it finished, relaunched Muon Package Manager. Clicking on Settings > Configure Software Sources now works.
This has never happened to me in all past installations of Muon Package Manager (sudo apt install muon). So it seems that ubuntu-drivers-common is a REQUIRED dependency, but not identified as such in the muon packaging details in 20.04. Would I be correct in this?Leave a comment:

They look similar because they are both created by Ubuntu. Both are python code with one using gtk bindings and the other using KDE ones. I imagine that they made both variants work and look the same nowadays.
The driver module is still in system settings but it did not used to be in the Software Sources applet previously.
Admittedly I have not used the driver manager in ages now and have not checked in on it since 18.04.
