    Logitech Webcam

    Hello,
Using a Logitech Streamcam webcam, it sorta works. So I will start zoom, get a the preview from the cam and then suddenly nothing, yet the cams light is still on and literally nothing else on the PC can access the cam (OBS,VLC,chesse all say there is no video device) on the other hand sometimes it just works. I know trying to change any setting will cause it to lock up. I ahve no idea what is wrong and the only way to 'fix' the issue is a full shutdown and reboot. This is driving me nuts, it was an expensive webcam and has caused nothing but hassle - of course works grand in Win10 using Logi software.

Would upgrading to 20.10 help ?
    Thanks:<br />Using a Toshiba A300-21H ,3GB ram,Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz,Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD,intel wifi link 5100. Tux wants you!

Is it plugged into a USB hub or into the PC? What generation of port?

      Some things to look at:
      https://askubuntu.com/questions/1258...-using-uvc-1-5
      https://superuser.com/questions/1540...des-on-manjaro

the program guvcview is a useful tool, and can be used to set a resolution that will be more stable before trying to use it in another program.
1080p video takes a lot of bandwidth, so trying different ports, or different computers, to eliminate hardware limitations, maybe useful.
