I have been here in this specific forum since 2005, and in mailing lists and Usenet before that. A long time ago, if memory serves, we decided against having Likes on the original forum software, to prevent the useless engagement farming we saw elsewhere. It isn't in our "culture" to push or use Likes, for better or worse, even though in the different forum software we have used, we enabled it.

I personally don't give a rats @ss about getting appreciation or anything. This may stem from the way things worked in mls and newsgroups.

Having said that, we do like to promote marking threads as solved. I wish it were used more.

And to be honest, and I did look, and this may be the very first time that anyone has ever complained, or mentioned being bothered by a lack of likes, before now. And the user waited all of five hours (at the most) from the time the OP posted, and they replied and edited that reply. Not long enough, considering the different parts of the world we are all from, and with all of two posts in total. High expectations, maybe, even if they are not wrong at all in their sentiments.

I remember on the opengl.org forum, where I was very active, someone joined and asked a question and in the next hour posts again and says Does anybody know, anybody there.... something of the sort.
We had to tell him it is a forum. Also, there aren't non stop 1000 of visitors per hour.
        A post usually gets a reply after 24 h.
        That was 15 y ago.

I think that having likes/dislikes a star system or some grade that is 0 to 5 is good.
How else am I suppose to know which reply is the best? Sometimes, I need to know if people tried a solution and it worked for them. (I am talking about all forums, all websites, about anything)

That's why I dislike Youtube's attitude. We use to give stars to videos. Now, i can't dislike AI video, videos about over unity power generation magic, non sense pseudo-science garbage.
        i can't dislike people's comments either.
If hundred of people are giving a thumbs down, then the comment is most likely silly, stupid or an ad.

Discover is nice. We can rate a software and say what is missing. There are some apps that don't startup, that are founded on some other app that is missing from the package.
When I see what other people say, I don't install.

I do the same for movies. Sometimes, i don't want to see a movie that has 5/10 and less.

I’ll look into that. What I saw earlier this morning when reviewing Usergroup permissions, you ‘should’ be able too. I’ll look some more when I’m back at my PC.

No worries - I appreciate your reply. I guess I just misread your first post.
I do try to help people, and I've even given a couple of solutions in the Zorin forums, so maybe I'll recognise a question I can help with. But don't hold your breath - it's taken me all afternoon to set up Kubuntu 26.04 on this Acer, but I got there... :-)

If anyone else has this issue, namely that wobbly windows are re-enabled (despite being manually disabled) for some reason after a log out or reboot, this has been reported elsewhere, see the KDE forums and the bug report.

In my case wobbly windows were enabled right after upgrading to 26.04. Disabled them, everything seemed fine, then they got turned back on. Right now they are off again, not sure why this happened at all. Seems to only be happening in Kubuntu and not other distros.

My wobbly windows and translucency are being turned back on after a reboot.

I found it interesting that on discuss.kde.org (IIRC) the developer said that the effect is objectively an improvement and hinted at experimental evidence for this. For me, on my desktop with ancient Intel graphics, the effect causes distracting redrawing of the text when moving large konsole windows. This glitching is minimized by turning down the effect, "less", in the settings for wobbly windows.

On my HP Pavilion laptop (very old!), which I upgraded to 26.04 two days ago, Plasma honors changes to Wobbly Windows, either with a Session Log Out or a Restart (running Wayland; haven't bothered trying with X11, as I know there wouldn't be any issues there).

                              What did you upgrade from?

I think this is specifically 25.10-26.04
I reproduced it in a VM. here. I did not see it in my 24.04 upgrade (yeah, I could not wait)

The problem is in System Settings writing to the config file incorrectly, so it definitely would behave the same in X11 or Wayland.
Manual config edits or commandline methods correctly set the option.
