I would like to know if anyone has been to hear Internet audio on Resolute. For example, Internet movie previews are visible but totally silent on all my 26.04 systems. They already applied for an exception, which was approved. So a 6.6 version will be in 26.04.

Instead of scaling, try increasing fonts sizes. However IME, scaling works fine so you might review your driver settings? I haven't had to deal with nvdia for quite awhile. I do have a laptop top with dual video cards - nvidia+intel - I just use the Intel card and scaling a 4k monitor to 150% works perfectly.
As far as SDDM, IME that's unrelated to your desktop video settings. SDDM doesn't use any desktop settings at all. I may have it's own "theme" which you can enlarge the fonts if you'd like, but zero desktop settings have any effect on SDDM.Leave a comment:

Ok trying it on the real deal. If I set display to 2560x1600 which is native, it's clean and crisp but everything is tiny.
If I scale the screen to 150%, the fonts are fuzzy and every now and then Sddm just goes black and I can't login.

How does scaling work in 26.04? I'm trying it in a VM and it craps out at 125%. The cursor is no longer aligned. I have display that's 2560x1600 and I would reallyt like to scale it at 150%.Leave a comment:

Quick notice, for anyone testing 26.04 the latest update splits the linux-firmware into separate packages, so if you graphics suddenly feel sluggish remember to install linux-firmware-amd-graphics or intel-graphics or nvidia-graphics

X11 RESTORED! - Don't even bother, it ain't happening. Thats the whole reason I am testing this (one last update to everything) , as this appears to be the KDE and Kubuntu swan song for me.. based on their plan to remove X11 in KDE 6.8? or so.. Sigh..

Synaptic - Still the quick search/filter is missing ?? I thought this was restored? Or has not filtered down yet?? YES I installed apt-xapian-index, still the quick search/filter didn't appear... sighhh. Why do we keep breaking the nice things!
X11 Session seems to have several issues, slow response, to clicks, or no response to clicks at all. To get the display size correct, go to Display, select the size, click keep.. NOPE. Couldn't click that.. Had to use xrandr on CLI.. that stuck, thankfully. Repeating this to test things after a reboot of the VM, changing resolution and apply it changes, and stays. NO keep/revert dialog.. Overall it felt "buggy." Glitches here and there, slow click, random clikcs on things when it "caught up" to a click 10 seconds ago or so
The above shows that this needs attention on the X11 session. Not good.
LightDM - Login Screen/Greeter screen size wrong, but this happens in VBOX and VMW too, sometimes it corrects itself with guest-additions, sometimes not, a quick edit of lightdm.conf, annoying more than anything really, at least for now, in a VM, I don't care but it can at least it can be corrected, well, correctly.
Konsole - Where is the memo about removing the menu/tool bar as a default
This is a bad move, yeah I think this has been growing since 22.04? or something, and its gotten worse... I am not sure what logic is in this, but it ain't any logic I apply.... shrug...
Somethings I have a glitch with as KVM and bridge aka real world networking don't seem to work on anything I tried. Why would any one default to NAT'd networking? For now the virt-manager connection is fine, but long term testing will need that resolved or even use of KVM.. bridge is a simple thing that VBOX and VMW do from the get go.. how is this not included and the default in KVM? ? ? ? ? ?
