[Pre-Install] Is it now safe to update to 25.04

I see the notification that upgrade to 25.04 is available and from what I read it was halted in April due to bugs. Is it now ok to do the upgrade?

Yes, Ubuntu turned them back on, hence the notifications. Seems to be fine, from the lack of many mentions of issues.

I upgraded. Had to disable phased updates so I could get apt to update reported packages, but after that, upgrading was without any hitches. Took quite awhile; nearly two hours.

Two HOURS? Sounds like a Windows update. You still on dial-up?

I didn't actually time it, but it was definitely more than an hour, from the time I issued sudo do-release-upgrade to when it was ready to reboot into the new system.

I suppose if you had a lot of stuff installed, it might take some time. Mine updated rather quickly, but it's a VM and a minimal install.

Upgrade time probably is causing extra load on some of the specific mirrors people are being sent to.
