I had constant Akonadi start up problems too. I fixed mine by bypassing it - I use a standard calendar and address book resources instead of the Akonadi kabc stuff.

No Akonadi errors now!

Ok, so i have no clue why everything works now - meaning krunner, akonadi, nepomuk without error - at least until now. I had NO update, here's what I did:

1)I renamed kabc_akonadi.so
2)went to system settings stopped and started the akonadi server.
3)renamed kabc_akonadi.so back to original

strange, but worked...

I re-installed yesterday. I fixed Akonadi by following the AppArmor fix instructions at: http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi
