Amarok never finishes updating the collection [SOLVED]

Amarok plays music just fine but it is constantly updating the collection. I don't mean "checking it every so often", I mean CONSTANTLY updating and never finishing.

I looked for a forum of some sort on amarok.kde.org but didn't find one, so I'm trying this forum.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have a lot of problems with amarok 2 and playlist files. You might try moving or removing any old playlists you have and trying again.

Removing every .m3u file I can find through Konsole as well as Amarok seems to result in a cessation of the constant updating. Thanks!
