    Re: Web Site Does Not Display

    Firefox 2:
    The clouds display and move if I click NoScript and Temporarily Allow bbbrown.com BUT I don't get the charts at the bottom.

    If I forbid bbbrown.com in NoScript, then the clouds vanish, I get the charts (but the page is cut off at the bottom at FX1 Charger Current line). In place of the clouds I see:

      You're welcome. I also noted the warnings about same color for colour and background-colour and wonder if that may be the principle problem. Maybe your site is displaying on other browsers, but the colour issue is causing the "I can't see anything" problem?

        Sorry to bud in but which design platform (DW, FP,etc) did you use to design this page?

        You have this at the bottom:
        <script type="text/javascript" src="ieupdate.js" ></script>

        ??

        HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
        4 GB Ram
        Kubuntu 18.10

          No problem. Well, I am not the programming side of this team so I can't answer that. But, my partner works primarily on Windows systems. I started this thread because I was puzzled at what I saw every time I used my Kubuntu box to look at the site knowing that it had been viewed successfully on Macs, PCs, Iphones, etc. I was just puzzled and hoped somone would have some good ideas and I was right. Thanks to all for brainstorming this issue. As I said, I am not a programmer but do believe in asking people who are smarter than me for recommendations.

            Using the web developer plugin in firefox: If I disable the css stylesheets on your site all the charts/etc. show up fine. So it's almost definitely a css issue. I'm surprised it would render differently in firefox for linux vs. windows, however.

              This line in the source looks fishy as well:

              Code:
              <script type="text/javascript">
              		 document.write('<style type="text/css">.tabber{display:none;}<\/style>');
              		</script>
              The closing style tag looks messed up to me.

                Re: Web Site Does Not Display

                It seems to me the site shows fine with the Flash Block plug in.
                The moment I allow Flash only the clouds show.

                Or the Flash animation should be limited to one of the frames, not overlay the whole page like presently.
                The Flash object does initially seem to hide behind the graphs, it is only activated (using Flash Block) when clicking in the top of he page above the frame of the graphs.
                In Konqueror I get the same display, possibly there is a transparency issue with Flash for Linux?

                In the source I see the background is specified as transparent, maybe making it a solid colour would show through the clouds.

                Regardless, Flash is never a good solution when you want to be seriously productive

                  Re: Web Site Does Not Display

                  I see what you mean. I added the web developer extension to my Firefox and turned off styles and that reveals the data as you pointed out. Everyone's input on this has been very helpful. I really appreciate it. I think I have enough clues now to work with my programmer to improve the site so that it displays as it should using Linux. Thanks so much to everyone. I will report back to this thread when we get a new version that displays as it should.

                      At work, so viewing with IE everything looks good. I'll look at it when I get home in Konqueror and report back.

                        Displays perfectly in Konqueror. See below.

                          Re: Web Site Does Not Display

                          You should probably talk you your programmer about how the 'tabbed' information screens are displayed. I noticed that Buy Cell 1 (the tab title) 'wraps' on the screen. I'm sure this isn't what was intended. See below.

                            Yes, I noticed that also. I sent him a screenshot and he is looking at that. Thanks to all who helped look at this site so carefully and your suggestions. It really was a big help and I appreciate it.

                              FWIW, in Epiphany the page truncates at the bottom with no way to scroll down. But it displays!

                              Could be as easy as scrollbars=auto but I didn't poke around in the code very much so can't say for sure.

                                Your web site is again, only displaying the scrolling clouds (top of screen) in Linux.
